Sunset Dinner Cruise

On our second night in Paris we had the most romantic dinner cruise. We boarded our boat just off of the Love Lock Bridge in Paris.
Once we were seated aboard the Le Calife, we were served our wine and cheese puffs which are different than cream puffs, and in my personal opinion much tastier.
For dinner we had a choice of about 4 appetizers, which were served with champagne, and 4 choices for dinner and 4 choices for desert.
For the appetizer I tried to be adventurous and I got the salad with duck.
I realized I did not like duck. The salad part of this dish was good and Brian had the duck.
Brian got the warm goat cheese in a crispy flaking pastry with honey. It was great!!
For dinner I chose the rump steak and Brian had the cod. Both of which were very good. It's amazing because they actually prepare everything on the boat.
As the sun began to set the sights became even more beautiful and much more romantic. The city lite up with love.
As we approached the Eiffel Tower it began the light show which made the tower light up and twinkle like thousands of stars were all over it. It was beautiful!
The photos don't even do it justice. The crew on board timed this so perfectly and we didn't really see any other ships that where there at the same time and the show starts right at 10.
After seeing the Eiffel Tower I finally saw the Statue of Liberty, only it was the one in Paris and it is much smaller.
About that time they served desert. I order the creame brûlée and Brian got chocolate fondant.
This creame brûlée was the most amazing thing I have ever tasted. It was so yummy! As the night sky was lite up by the sourrounding buildings, we enjoyed the atmosphere aboard the boat.
