Castles Galore!

Yesterday was awesome! We spent time in Fussen Germany, and got to see the Neuschwanstein Castle and the Hohenschwangau Castle.
When we arrived we found out the bus was not running for the day, so the only way up to the castle was the 40 min hike that was about 2 miles up the hill and 2 miles back. It's was not terribly steep, but it was really hard on the calves.
We stopped a few times to relax up the hill. Once we arrived at the top the view of the town below was gorgeous.

The entrance to the castle had very pretty doors and lead into an opening areas.

Overall this trip was well worth the 9,000 step walk up and down the hill and the shin splints that accompanied that walk. The castle was awesome and the view at the top was great. We enjoyed lunch at the top and it was pretty yummy.
