Notre Dame Cathedral

It's day two in Paris, and we saw so much! Not only did we get over 23,500 steps on my Fitbit, which is a record, but we saw some amazing  things and made memories we will have forever! The weather was chilly, rainy, and windy again but we are only here for a few days so that didn't stop us.

Our first stop was the Notre Dame. It was    one of those places everyone says to go see but it wasn't until today that I fully understand why.
The line looked super long when we got there but it moved very quickly.
The architecture of this building is incredible. It took them like 100 years to actually complete it and it's been around 1000 years which is crazy! (Which is before America was even discovered)

You can see the windows from the outside and they look cool but from the inside it was Outstanding!
I could honestly sit and stare at those all day. They were like no other stained glass windows I had ever seen. The detail was incredible.
What's really neat about this cathedral is it is, not only a must see tourist spot, but also an actual, still operating church. They hold services every week and they had a funeral while we were there. That was an interesting thing in itself. There were so many people with white robes and some had purple sashes that walked with staffs of gold. Not sure what they are called but almost like bishops. I didn't take any photos because they would be rude. The memories are enough. They played the organ and the sound was breathtakingly beautiful. I even took a sound bite to remember it by. Notre Dame was one of a kind and definitely should be on everyone's must see list when going to Paris.
